About the Owners
Bio: Captain Sam Lunday
Sam was raised in Gainesville, Georgia and moved to the
Caribbean New Year's Eve 2005 with his wife Laura.
He earned his BA in Business Management from the
University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!).
In his previous life he was known as "The Chicken Man." He was a Plant Manager in chicken processing plants throughout the U.S. including Cagle's, Perdue and Fieldale Farms. He turned in his smock and moved to the Caribbean with a dream to become a Boat Captain. He has a soon-to-be 18 year old daughter named Lindsay.
Sam loves the water and captaining our boat, VIBE1. His goal every day is to show-off our beautiful islands and ensure our guests have the best day of their vacation! His specialty is bringing guests to local spots, away from the commercial areas, and introducing them to the real island way of life and its people.
Bio: Laura Lunday
Laura was an Air Force brat, born in Lake Charles Louisiana
and raised in North Dakota and Georgia. She earned her BA
in English Literature from Mercer University and her Masters
of Public Administration from Georgia College and State
University in Macon Georgia.
Prior to moving to St. Thomas, Laura was a civil service employee who worked as a Contracting Officer for the US Air Force. She has a 21-year-old son named Jared who attends Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA.
Laura works behind the scenes, for now, as the bookkeeper for VIBE as well as working full-time for a company in St. Thomas. But she dreams of the day she can work on the water with her husband, Captain Sam and experience the magic of the sea on a daily basis.
