Empty Conch Shell?

First Mate Brent brought up an empty conch shell recently and could not believe what was living in it, a baby octopus! It changed colors and even squirted ink at us.

After showing our guests onboard, he carefully placed it back where he found it.

It is Springtime in the Caribbean! Dry season is over, the Turpentine and Flamboyant trees have lost their leaves ready for new growth. The thunderstorms and laughing gulls have returned (and thankfully our cistern is full again)!

CARIBBEAN DRINK OF THE MONTH

Swingin' Iguana

1 oz green Chartreuse

1 oz light rum

1/2 oz Rose's lime juice

Splash of orange juice

grated lime zest

Take care when layering this very pretty drink.

In a rocks glass, using a spoon, carefully pour the Chartreuse over the spoon. Follow with the light rum, Rose's lime juice and carefully float a splash of the orange juice over the top. Mature iguanas have brown speckles on their backs so sprinkle a bit of lime zest for taste over the top.

Flat Stanley made a trip to the Virgin Islands and chartered VIBE for the day! He drove the boat, took a nap on a hammock in White Bay and snorkeled for the first time. He left with many pictures and loads of memories!
